Smith & Wesson Model 39: Classic Semi-Auto Pistol (HD) - YouTube

One of the more popular YouTube tactical gun channels has posted a video on the Model 39.

Better get yours soon, as it seems Tactical Joe Public and his Glock fanboi's are about to ruin the secret. The days of $400 steals are about to come to screeching halt once the kids who've grown up with polymer discover what we've known for years.

That's alright its not the steel frame or the latter ones made of SS, besides the bluing on the alloy's arent that nice.

plus its only 7 G people throught the world, I doubt its going to make a dent in the grand scheme of things and with 9mm evaporating like water in a desert sun what are they going to shoot with?

a 22 model 39 that would be different but they never made one.

Its more of the curiousity/publicity aspect that I'm concerned with.

We've enjoyed a nice period of inexpensive S&W semi autos because for the most part, police have moved onto Glock and other polymer frame models. As such many people shooting today are just plum clueless about the existence of, and the greatness represented, in the S&W 39 series. You don't know what you don't know.

Unless you watch a tactical YouTube channel showing one off, that is.
Someone's going to watch that channel, plunk down the bread for a beat up ol' M39 and think "whoa". They'll tell their friends at the gun range, and before you know it they're selling for $1000 on gunbroker.

true but I think that might be more a result of things being so hot right now, hell the 645 that was 400 went to 600 because of all that is happening right now.
