Buying a holster - is a 25-2 the same size as a 625?

I have a 25-2 and want to get a holster for it. I see many listed for a 625 but not so many for a 25. If I buy a holster listed for a 625, would the 25 fit it properly?

Thanks for any feedback.

other than barrel length yes they are they same...you should be able to use any N frame holster. So this includes a 29, 629 etc.... I am using a Bianchi on my 25-2 .45acp

That depends on how tightly the holster is made. With the exception of the Mountain Gun models, most 625s have the (OOOOOGLY) full lug barrel. An M25 will have the more or less standard configuration ejector rod shroud. The area around the rest of the revolver will be the same with little variance other than tolerances, but the portion of the holster for the barrel may be significantly different.

Keep in mind that most 25-2's have the tall front Patridge sight. This may or may not work with certain holsters. If it's an open front competition holster it is a non-issue.
