I have a question for the C&R 03FFL holders

I'm trying to arrange a rifle swap with someone out of state.
He has a C&R; I do not.
Both rifles are C&R eligible. (a Garand and a 1903a3)

Can I ship directly to him the same way I could ship to an O1FFL dealer?

Also, he says he can ship directly to me.
I think this is wrong and would have the rifle shipped to a dealer to be transferred here.

Once you get a copy of his 03 C&R license you can use the USPS to ship your rifle to him.

I do not.

He will have to have a copy of the FFL you want him to send it to, and then ship it through the FFL to you. You cannot have it shipped to you. It will need to be transfered to you just lke any other post-antique gun.

Bob is correct, with one very minor quibble: He just has to be sure he is shipping it to an FFL, he doesn't need an actual copy of the FFLs license; FFL eZcheck can be used.

A lot of FFLs don't like sending out copies of their licenses, they are afraid of fraud. eZcheck makes it easier and safer.
