Does anyone have any experience with this pistol? I'm considering it as a foundation for a competition pistol and for accuracy load development. I have not seen or held this gun, but from just the reading of the on-line information it seems to be capable with maybe just minor tweeking. Appreciate any comments or information. They're not cheap, MSRP $1310. I'd rather have a S&W 952, but $3000 is too much for a shooter.

WOW!...That's a pricy piece of Czech hardware!

All I can say is I just bought a new CZ75B(Omega)..which is probably about the lowest price version of the CZ75..and it's a great pistol.

I can't wait till next spring. Should be getting CZ sometime around then. Good luck finding the one you want.

I borrowed one from a friend several years ago to shoot steel plate competition. Put about 3000 rounds through it.

Because of the bottomless pit of a magazine (20 rounds) it's just a hair big for my large hands. But not enough to make a difference.

Out of the box the trigger was great and got better the more I shot it.

Accuracy out to 15 yards was impressive.

It handled every type of ammo I stuffed in it.

The steel plate shooting was fun. The gun made me better than I really was. Out of 15-20 people I always finished first, second, or third. Not too bad for never having shot in any type of competition. And some of the shooters were every weekend competition shooters that were very good.

Having said the above, I like the EAA Tanfoglio Witness Elite Match better. Fits my hands better. Trigger is very good. And accuracy is excellent. It performs as well as the CZ. A few of the other shooters used the Witness. The Witness magazine holds three less rounds.

Either way, I can't imagine having to tweak the gun much. It's ready to go right out of the box. ;)

Forgot to mention, recoil with the CZ wasn't bad at all because of the full length dust cover. At 2.83 pounds it is a heavy gun.

And, after shooting it as much as I did, I estimate the trigger pull to be somewhere between 2-3 pounds. Probably closer to two.

What competition games? They aren't legal for a number of shooting sports. The grip is pretty fat maybe too fat for some and the mags are expensive.

I passed on one, NIB for just under $1,000 a few years ago and wish I hadn't. It's on my short list to acquire one day. If you like it and can afford it I believe you'll be quite pleased with it.

P.S. Bud's Guns has them in stock at a probably the best price I've seen in awhile.
