Thanks Jeep 1, I've had others that didn't show but won't get my book back until tomorrow, appreciate the info. Fyi it's a 686-4.
I don't know if this helps CAM is first one listed 1996.

Got my book back tonight, never really looked too deeply in to the triple alpha serial sequence-wow, to me the serial sequencing makes absolutely no sense lol. Oh well, I may call during the week to see if I get a cs rep that knows something.

also, I have a CAN that is 1996 manufacture (m60-9)
The 686-4 was made from 1993 to 1997
