My 1985 686 no dash has the most beautiful, smooth trigger that I could ever imagine in a revolver. It has never been touched. DA it is a glassy smooth 8lb 6 oz. SA it is 2lb 11oz as compared to my '79 model 52-2 which is 2lb 12 oz and my '82 Hi Standard Trophy Citation which is 2lb 1 oz. My 2 70 Series Govt models, which have been extensively worked on have SA triggers at 2lb 14oz and 3lb 4oz. The 686 no dash as well as my '85 586 no dash which has only a few oz heavier trigger are so good, I can't imagine one that would be significantly better, even after being worked on.
