I've been looking online for a while and for some reason can't track down any info. I'm hoping someone can help me out here. I was going through my stack of spent ammo today when I came across this one box of .38 special +P I picked up a while back. It's "Federal Classic" .38 +P 158 grain semi wadcutter hollow points. After seeing it I remember seeing more in my local shop. Does anyone have any specs (velocity / energy) on this round?

Thanks,
Ski

Federal's version of the FBI Load. I have no numbers, but Federal +P round are usually pretty hot for a major manufacturer. I am pretty sure it's good stuff.

I have 1980 Shooters Bible which lists your ammo exactly at 915fps in a four inch barrel . The ME is 294fps. It would seem that at the velocity listed the ammo would be safe in all modern .38 Specials.
