Can anyone identify this revolver

Friend of mine is in love with this revolver. Looks to be a Model 629 Performance Center. He called S&W and they cannot identify it. Can anyone help out.

You seem to be saying its a S&W .44mag?
Is there a serial number?

Looks like the "Magnum Hunter" without the screw in comp. It's wearing an Altamont smooth rosewood round butt combat grip which I would think would be horrible for recoil slipping on that gun but look pretty.

If you want a better answer you need to provide a large enough picture that someone can see something to identify. You picture is postage stamp size both on your post and when someone tries to enlarge it. You can adjust that on your camera, most likely.

Thanks. I looked on the S&W Performance Center page and that item number does not exist. Ill have to do some checking google.

I have one just like it. It is a 629-6 .44 Magnum Hunter Plus and came with a fluted cylinder and the wood grips. It was a special build order for RSR Distributors item #170295FC. I got mine from Zander's who got it used/repaired from S&W. Called S&W about it and got 2 build dates, 2008 and rebuild/repair 11/2012, factory test fired on 5/15/2013 and I received it from Zander's 7/2013. Sig2009's is the only other one I've seen.
