With the advances that allow our J Frames to fire 5 Magnuns, our L Frames to fire 7 Magnums, and our N Frames to fire 8 Magnums why can't we have our 6 shot K Frames back?

Supposedly the frame's not tall enough which entails thinning the barrel shank (flat on bottom) so the yoke has clearance. Historically no problem with the various non-magnum cartridges for which it was chambered, this thin spot is suppose to be the weak link on the K-Frame gun when used with hot .357 Magnum ammunition.
I never had problems with K-Frame magnum revolvers but then I mostly used 158 grain hand loads. I would like to add another classic 4-inch Model 19 to my collection and I'd trust it to "go the distance."
Then the steel insert used in the PD series wouldn't work either?
