Major companies including S&W, Ruger, luckygunner, Hornady, ATK, Winchester, Beretta, ammotogo, bulkammo? we are NOT asking them to boycott all the governments, only governments from state such as California, NY, NJ, Il, etc. (soon Colorado) Once there are major companies boycotting them, others are easier to yield to our demand! It might be necessary to let some major companies (due to boycott by us) ying in order to pressure all the major players

I understand companies owned by "Freedom" group may be hesitant because their weapon were used in the CT carnage and they are politically vulnerable.

Since the civilian market is huge, we should be able to pressure them, already some companies stop doing business with them!!!

We certainly can by emailing and calling their 800 or even their area code numbers and letting them know that wee will stop buying from them until they stop selling to bad gun fighting and unconstitutional counties or districts and even entire states!

There are many more gun owning citizens than law enforcement and they buy ammunition as well as weapons and accessories so you can hurt their profits if not put them out of business all together along with other like minded gun owners en masse!

The next move is of course for you to take action yourself and seek out any 2nd amendment related meeting or rallies and getting involved...posting here might help some but in the end it is really up to each individual gun owner to say enough of this is enough and I am gonna work non stop to put an end to this silly gun control debate about a right that I was given by my creator and not any government agency or bureau or legislation!

Yes! Refuse to do business with companies who are either anti-gun or are not supportive of 2A rights.

I'm doing that. I dumped Amica Insurance and moved to USAA for my home and firearms insurance. There was some discussion about their actions with a gun industry member and they wouldn't take a stand when I contacted them.

I am about to dump Geico because they too have a questionable stance on gun rights.

I'm looking at alternatives to Wells Fargo

I'm investigating which grocery, hardware and other stores support 2A rights or are actively anti-gun.

If we can just get 1/2 or even 1/3 of the 114M gun owners in the USA (2009 figures) to not do business with anti-gun businesses it would send a major message.

There have been a few company's that have refused to do business with any Law Enforcement Agency or Government Agency in NY State. When enough of them follow suit what I would like to know is what kind of finical impact does this have directly on the state? When you buy ammo or accessories it pass's through a lot of hands between where you bought it from and when the mailman, Fed EX or UPS drops it off. When you sever that chain its a lot of lost business overall. I wonder how many company's it would take and how long it would take before states like NY began to feel the effects.

Geico is held by Berkshire Hathaway ... its not even questionable ,,, they are anti constitution.
Wells Fargo ... its more the banks practices than their stance that should cause you to leave em. That is sometimes hard to do ... when you think you get out from under them ... WF somehow manages to buy back your debit from the bank you switched to.... ample reason to get non 2A folks behind a boycott

FPC (Firearms Policy Coalition) has a form letter that can be sent to most of the major firearms manufacturers. Seems pretty simple to send a message.

Link: Send a Message to the Firearms Industry! | Firearms Policy Coalition

Listed as recipients are
Colt
Daniel Defense
Smith & Wesson
FN USA
Heckler & Koch
Troy Industries
Remington Arms
Glock
Beretta
Sturm, Ruger, and Co
Aimpoint
L3 Communications
Hornady Manufacturing Company
SIG SAUER, Inc.

Seems like quite a list. Maybe enough letters and/or e-mails will do some good.

Will S&W step up and stand up for our 2nd amendment rights by stopping sales to states that violate gun rights?

I hate to say this but I think its a lost cause.

One of the major police manufacture's is Glock the other is Smith and Wesson. While I could see Smith and Wesson being affected by a boycott.

Glock would most likely just laugh at it. Glock has so many huge contract's with other country's police department's, military's etc. That the lose of civilian sales in the United States would most likely not be a big deal to them.

Anything they most likely welcome Smith and Wesson pulling out of State's like California and New York because then they could charge more since there be less competition.

Trying will no hurt, I don't know which contracts they have but 300'000'000 firearms owned by civilians in USA prove we are a very good market.

Here is what Armalite has to say about it.

"Dear concerned gun owner,

First of all I would like to say thank you for filling my email with all this spam email.

Second, I am not sure where you got this blanket email from to send out as spam, but please stop it.

Third, The manufacture is not the one you need to convince. You need to convince the law enforcement agencies and the common people about their mistake in electing these officials and have them removed. Again NOT the manufacture.

AR Stands for ArmaLite…

Respectfully,

Their CEO has since issued a statement that basically states they will still sell to LEO's. Their Facebook page is taking a beating! For all who are interested you can find the link for this on nyfirearms.com

A boycott Armalite Facebook page has also been started.

>> As a business, Glock is free to do whatever it deems best for their business, if they choose to abandon the civilian market, they are free to do so. Also we are not asking manufacturer to abandon all government business, just government business of CA, NY, CPD (Chicago), these combined business is probably much less than the civilian market.

May I suggest we put all of our firepower on S&W, and have them drop all future business with NYS, California and announce it on their website? once a big boy such as S&W join in, it is easier to target Glock and Beretta. I can understand some will not join in, but if several big boys on our side, the rest will feel intensive pressure to follow suit! Also it might be good to target ammo companies (ATK, Remington, Olin, Hornady, Magtech)! I understand it is impossible choke NYS off firearm/ammo, but that should be a VERY strong message to them!!!

I saw a "news/politic" show this evening with the mayor of Iloin( I think that is how it is spelled) NY, the home of Remington, saying that Rem. is talking about pulling up shop and leaving. The mayor stated that 1,300 people are directly employed there. And that the secondary fall out to local businesses( suppliers, pizza shops, trucking companies) would destroy the area. He said something to the affect, last one turn off the lights.

As much as I would like to think that S&W would willingly comport to no sales to states that are anti second amendment, I look at where they are located in the great state of Mass. and figure if they haven't moved from such a unfriendly gun state like the one they are in they probably ain't going to side with us common folk! I also think you have to get the middle man inline because the wholesale company's that sell to LGS have to be part of the solution, I have been fighting the fight for a long time, when I order something online, the first thing I look for is what state is the product I am interested in coming from, If its a company in Ca Ill, or other anti second amendment state I don't order it! Now I like S&W products so I had to overlook this for my S&W purchase's but I don't bend on much else. If I see something on Amazon .com and I can't see where it is shipping from I send Amazon and email and ask. Ronnie Barrett, told the state of Ca. that he would not sell them anymore Barrett rifles nor would he repair or send parts to the state when they outlawed 50 Cal rifles. The other thing we need to collectively do is inundate the state Congressmen and senators by posting the names of their family members, car license plates, home phone numbers kids names anything that can be used against them, I am not talking about harming anyone , just using every social media outlet available to beat them down, remove them from office, and humiliate them any way possible, just like they are doing to us!
