I replied in the thread about Barbara Hale's death, and noted that Perry Mason was played by a Canadian actor, Raymond Burr. Hale played his secretary, Della Street.

Besides Burr, we've seen Wm. Shatner, Pamela Anderson, Lorne Greene, and other Canadians on shows here.
How many others have been heavily into roles on US TV?

Just curious. Eh?

Maybe our Canadian members know more than I do.

BTW, my only Canadian connection is being stationed at a USAF base in Newfoundland for a year .

Molly Parker as the delectable Mrs. Garrett in Deadwood, one of the best modern day western series ever.

When I googled it, saw a bunch!
One who surprised me was Meg Tilly -
Remember her - she used to act.
Now she plays poker.

Canadian actors in the US - Google Search

Hmpf. Didn't know about her being Canadian. She has a sister, Jennifer. I confuse them. One was in a wonderful movie called, Masquerade, made about 1988. Also starred Rob Lowe and a Canadian whose name escapes me at the moment. She and her husband later wrote a sex book and she was on, Sex and the City, I think.

Didn't know about Meg Tilly playing poker. One of the VS Angels does that, too, a Portuguese girl named Sara Sampaio.

I was surprised to see Glenn Ford listed here. I knew about Leslie Neilson. I used to think it was funny that he played Gen. Francis Marion on a Disney program. The actor would have been on the other side during the Revolution!

Lots of Canadian actors in the US. Not many US actors in Canada because Canada has some pretty strict rules about Canadian content being broadcast in Canada . . .

Australia can be bad about that, too. On, The Lost World, a Canadian actor (David Orth) and an American, Jennifer O'Dell, had to take time off in the Third Season because of a limit on how many episodes foreign actors could appear in without a show being taxed more for it. They got a girl from Canberra (Lara Cox) to play a new hottie to keep male eyes on the show until Jen returned. Thankfully, Lara stayed on, too, but fans were told that she'd probably eventually be written out after Jen returned.

We don't do this to Canadian and Australian actors. How many US actors really want to work in those countries, anyway? Jennifer was the ONLY American on, The Lost World.

Thanks, Interesting. Another bad trade deal. We need a better negotiator.
