Cannabis Oil for Chronic Pain

I was building a a Cannabis baking facility where they make gummy bears with THC in it to sell to dispensaries. I was doing a lot of chainsaw work at my property and my hands hurt really bad for several days and I was telling some of the guys there about it and one guy gave me a little beeswax goop to rub on my hands. It was like a miracle drug, about 5 minutes later 90% of the pain went away and the remaining pain was barely noticeable! It gradually wore off late in the day but only about 40% of the pain came back which was was quite tolerable and all pain was totally gone in a couple more days.

Thanx

Mau Mau was in Kenya, not Australia. For a candid description based closely on facts gleaned from police reports and actual terrorist confessions, read, Something of Value by Robert C. Ruark. Be prepared to be shocked and disgusted.

Also read, Man Hunt in Kenya, by Inspector Ian Henderson, GM.

The only connection between Moo and Mau Mau is that the latter did like to mutilate cattle. And people.

The thing about mau mau was as a kid this young guy ( I was 9 or 10 ) had a girl at our high school, ( school went from grade 1 thru 10) and he drove a fat fender 52 plymouth, I don't know if you recall the days when guys named or had sayings on their cars, anyway he had "sleep walking mau mau ".stenciled on the rear fenders both sides, Ive done a lot of reading on the uprising to try and put the two things together and I never had/have, I just took a chance on a handle like moo moo maybe had some meaning to my quest, I ll take a look at the reading material you suggest.

Six orthopedic repair surgeries with for of them on shoulders. Once I turned in my CDL I started using a CBD ointment my daughter, the nurse, suggested. I rub it on both shoulders before I go to bed and I can actually sleep through the night. I couldn't do that even on Vicodin and muscle relaxers. No pain pills in the house except stuff for the occasional headache.

Well guess what??????????

Tex, after reading your post I went back and over some things I had glossed over in the past readings and I found that the mau mau having a lack of weaponry heavy or light, and not being able to attack the deeply entrenched police and fed forces did a lot of their attacks under the cover of night, so you could construe the movement of people at night as "sleepwalking mau mau " wow it took 63 years but this could be an explanation.

When I told this forum I bought stocks in a cannabis company a few years ago I caught alot of flak.
The times have changed about the benefits of cannabis in reliving pain both physical pains and certain mental conditions.

So when your shopping for the best CBD to ease the pains look for Green Thumb Cannabis products at your local Rise store.

Disclaimer:
I own Green Thumb stock and I thank you for your business.

My wife uses it for her Fibromyalgia and back pain. She swears by it. THC free products are all she uses.
I use it on my pointers now when they have been run hard and put up wet. They actually recover from a rough 3 day hunt quicker. I have also used it on abrasions from cockle burrs and they heal much quicker.
Like all things used for pain relief and healing, results vary. We ain’t all the same and should not expect what works for one to work for all.
Like most everything, you get what you pay for. Don’t buy the cheap stuff and expect results. I found out the pet grade CBD is worthless. My dogs get the best human grade product I can buy and the results are very good.

Cannabis stock has been a very good investment for me and I found the stock thanks to this forum.

Recently deceased forum member 1morethan8 mentioned GW Pharmaceuticals GWPH as an up and coming investment stock back in 2014 and I am glad he did. :)

I did my research and bought a few hundred shares under $40. It's $127 per share now and upside continues to be bright. Cannabis based drug Eplodex has proved to be remarkably effective in reducing epileptic seizures.

Use of pure CBD should not trigger a positive THC test.
The low priced CBD will have low results, like with everything else, you get what you pay for. And what price do you place on the damage long term use of anti -inflammatories will eventually do to your liver and kidneys, especially if combined with liberal alcohol consumption.
Give a quaity product a try, see if it works for you.

My wife tried it for her neck pain, she used two different types, neither one really relieved her pain. If your dealing with muscle issues it might give you some relief, anything deeper and I'm skeptical. Saying that...I am one of the few people that get relief using acupuncture. I go in every other week for about a dozen needles in my lower back and for me it takes the edge off and gives me a warning if I'm overdoing it but not the serious stab in the back prior to treatment. The other day my sciatica also started acting up, I mentioned it while going in for my usual treatment. He said "Today you take pants off." He ran a series of needles down my leg and hip area in addition to the dozen in my lower back, today my sciatica had calmed down, much faster. I am able to stay off muscle relaxers or any other pain meds with acupuncture. The V.A. approved my first year and I am in the process of getting approval for further treatment.

I wonder if CBD oil would be good for chronic knee pain. My wife has arthritis in her right knee and can barely walk sometimes. The doctor gave her a shot of cortisone in the knee and it helped, but only a couple of months.

Where would one purchase some CBD? I've heard there are scams, so I'm leery of ordering it online.

Savage CBD online. Get the 1000mg oil, tincture style. They also have creams that you can rub into your skin. Personally, the only thing that takes my back pain away is Percoset, 3/day. The CBD helped a little at first, but not now. Dr. said she doesn't recommend an operation. Her nor the orthopedic surgeon. It DOES help my dog with her being 95# and bad hips, back legs.
If you live in a state where THC is legal, or if you can get your wife a card, THAT works. But, it WILL get you high (I heard.)

my son keeps touting the CBD to me, and I am prepared to believe that it can work. However, the question is, how do I know what is quality, and what's not? IN reading this thread so far, only three brands have been named. Green Thumb, Laura's and Savage.

Has anyone come across any 'study', or article, without any bias as to what brand/s of product are legit?

Laura's and Lazarus Naturals have their products analyzed by independent labs and they link to the results. I've got over 2 years personal use in Laura's Mercantile and all I can say is it works for me.

Yesterday my first order from Lazarus Naturals came and I am impressed. Considerably cheaper than Laura's. the customer service was great - I ordered via internet and product arrived well packaged and on time. They offer a 90 day money back guarantee and they have been in business since 2014, the infancy of the industry. I found out about them from a recommendation from a trusted friend on the Sig Forum.

Here is a link to LazNat test results

I'm the expert in chronic pain.
Well then, that makes two of us. :o And the worst part is that my Stage 3 kidney disease prevents me from using Ibuprofen anymore. :(

The truth is that Ibuprofen mega-doses likely played a big part in putting me in this awful predicament with my failing kidneys. :( Not too happy that my PCP encouraged and allowed that to happen over the many years.

Tylenol does zero for me and the law up here makes it very ugly for my PCP to prescribe Vicodin for me even though it's my last good alternative. So I live in great pain (monster kidney stones, failing hips, bad back from an old accident, et al) and that's that. :(

The other day I asked my nurse wife if a CBD 'pill' of some sort might help me without further damaging my kidneys. She is looking into it. Turns out that not all oral CBD 'pills' (for lack of a better term) are the same and she wants to make sure that what I try is an effective one, not a scam.

Stay tuned for future developments. :p

Thanks again for all the feedback. I am excited, and nervous at the same time, hoping I'll get good results come Wednesdays appointment at the Pain Clinic.

For those that the CBD/THC did work, how long did it take for the drug to start working?

I am fortunate enough not to need it yet anyway. I think if it works for you them why not. I do have a concealed carry permit and also the form for the background check and am concerned both could be used against someone that has a prescription for it. Here in Florida we would be okay for now I think. Someone like Como will use anything he can to take peoples rights away and has poured a lot of money onto states that he has no business in.

I've been using tincture and salve for about a year now for my Benign Essential Tremors and all manner of pain (I'm 72). It works very well for me. My tremors always get worse if I go a couple days without. I also stopped all alcohol consumption after starting the CBD and had no ill effects. Anecdotal, I know, but it works for me.

CBD gummies have made a believer out of me. The chronic knee pain has all but disappeared. My cardiologist said taking CBD won’t cause any health problems. My wife also suffers from joint pain and has begun to take the gummies with good results. My only experience is with products from Charlottes Web. Their products are made from hemp. It took a few days for results after beginning to use CBD. Hope it works for you.

Interesting information. I have never used marijuana or any derivative product, and have no intention of doing so, but I know several senior citizens who swear by CBD products (and quite a few who smoke dope regularly). I really have no strong opinions one way or the other.

Colorado was one of the first US states to legalize medical marijuana. We watched as dispensaries popped up everywhere, usually with "clinic days" for people to come in, be examined by a "screener" to document their claims of chronic pain (or whatever ailment that might work), and a doctor who signed off on new medical marijuana cards, all for only a hundred bucks or so and seldom taking more time than a coffee break. So called "caretakers" were permitted to grow and process a certain number of plants for each medical MJ "patient" served.

Next, Colorado voters passed a measure to legalize recreational marijuana. Anyone may grow in quantities deemed to be "for personal use". MJ is everywhere now, I can't drive down the street without seeing others toking dope, on foot or behind the wheel. Bars, clubs, and restaurants are overrun with dopers to a point that those of us who do not partake are openly shunned. Welfare rolls are maxed out by folks coming to Colorado for legal dope, public housing and subsidized housing has been totally unavailable for a couple of years now (and social service agencies have stopped even taking applications). The "homeless" population has exploded. Child welfare cases are through the roof. Property crimes are so ubiquitous that police no longer respond, taking most reports by phone.

Lighting up a tobacco cigarette in a public place will get you a $300 fine. Firing up a doobie in the same public place might get you a $100 fine, but only if someone complains and there is a cop nearby with nothing better to do. Driving under the influence of MJ is common, and both time consuming and expensive to prove, so largely ignored.

Meanwhile, state and local taxes on marijuana have both skyrocketed and become firm parts of budget planning. Taxes are now so high that folks tell me they can call unlicensed dealers and have their stuff delivered to their homes for much less than they would pay in a licensed outlet. Illegal grow operations continue to be busted, on public lands, in national forests, on farmers' crop lands, and in rental houses that end up trashed to a point of requiring demolition (not covered by the owners' insurance policies, illegal activity and all).

People love their dope, I understand that.

Some people love their dope so much they will lay out good money to buy CBD products (which I call dope-free dope).

Rant over.

No dope smoking here. Many of these products claim to be THC free but I think the standard is less than 0.3% THC (psychoactive ingredient). You might want to take that into consideration if your continued employment depends on clean drug screens, especially if you are on a high dose. I don't have to worry about those things any more, but I feel absolutely no mind altering effects from CBD.

I’ve dealt with similar chronic pain after back surgeries, and switching to cannabis oil made a bigger difference than I expected. I use a low-THC oil from this UK clinic (Releaf) and it helps with sleep and cuts the nerve pain without the groggy side effects I got from opioids.

If you’re trialing it, give it a bit of time to dial in the right dose. https://releaf.co.uk/ is where I started so it might be worth checking if you want to compare notes
