Looks like a early post war k38 masterpiece, AKA pre model 14. 1950 +/-. Considered 5 screw (one under the grips).

nice grips, they look original.

Your gun appears to be a K 38 Target Masterpiece ( Pre-Model 14) probably made in approx. 1950. It has 5 screws. The 33471 is an assembly number used during production to track pieces disassembled for finishing and has no relation to the serial number Ed.

Yes it has a 6 inch barrel. One more thing, please don't keep it so close to the Gluck, you don't want the S&W catching anything nasty.:D

Lighten up, guys.
Did you ever think about what a wonderfully positive influence the old Masterpiece might be on the Glock?
I mean, like, really- the Glock might shoot from the vertical if he hangs around long enough. :D;);)

I have no particular taste for any of the black semiauto guns, rifle or handgun, especially those having a significant plastic content. However, I have to admit that for their intended purpose they are much superior to anything that came earlier. I don't own, nor have I ever owned, any black gun. But if I were in some line of work in which I had a significant chance of becoming a target on any given day, that's what I'd take over any revolver ever made.
