I have a 2004 Toyota Corolla that is a gray metallic color.I try to keep the car waxed with quality paste waxes but they cause a problem.Due to the shape of the front of the car the hood and entire front is full of small dings from being hit on the highway. These dings are about 1/32 in or smaller but when paste wax dries in these dings I cannot get the wax removed .So the front of the car is covered with small white specks. Is there a product that will color these dings before or after wax application so that they are not so visible ?

Try "Ice" from Tutle Wax.

Goes on clear, dries to a light haze, wipes off clean with no dust or residue. Can be applied to a hot surface in direct sunlight. More durable than the traditional waxes, in my experience. Hope this helps. Regards 18DAI.

Ice is very good, but not too durable. I use it as a basecoat for a paste wax or when I am in a hurry. To remove old wax use 3M Adhesive, Tar, and Wax Remover. It is good to use after you wax a car to clean the trim. With Ice, you can go right over the trim.

Use a soft bristled brush to brush out the wax in the pitted spots. I've used a toothbrush and larger bristled brushes on tasks like you described. The brush will leave a waxed surfaced in the ding that resists rust. For the last couple of years I have been using "Protect All with Carnauba Wax All-Surface Care. This stuff goes on easily, rubs out quickly and is very durable. After 2 or three coatings my vehicle (a '99 Chevy 2500) is always looking sharp.

MeGuiars NXT won't leave the dust and white residue. And in my opinion, it can't be beat!

Best car wax

Second that on the Meguiar's NXT, I use it on my Corvette, It WAS the best!

Until the new Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax 2.0 came out, now that is all I will ever use!

Forgive me but I'm from the school of thought that dirt on the car protects the paint. I suggest you forgo the wax and you won't have the problem.

I've used NU-Finish (orange plastic bottle or can), with excellent results for years. Wax on/Wax off, very easily done, apply a second coat and you are good to go for a year. My 98 F-150 shines like the new boys on the dealers lot.

I'm with Caje on this --- I go with a protective patina of squashed bugs, dust, a bit of mud, etc., equally effective, considerably cheaper, environmentally friendlier, &tc. --- waxing is for floors, some furniture, bikini lines, poets, moons...

And for those who think they're all alike, I challenge you to try some. You'll see the difference! But wait! There's more! Use MeGuiars car wash to wash the car before waxing. It's also good stuff! And then there's MeGuiars Back to Black for the trim, and for between waxes NXT Speed Detailer, and for the.....:D

And if you don't brush your teeth the layers of plaque and tartar will protect from cavities...

Same with NOT taking a bath !! If you stay covered and protected with all that dirt and smell both bad guys and germs will fear to come near you. What a wonderful concept!!!
