Carry with Factory J Frame Combat Grips

I wish I could find some decent combats. I had them on a Model 60 that I carried on Guam and loved the setup. I only carry in my waistband and they concealed easily. I sold the gun to another AF guy when I left the island and I wish I had been smart enough to swap the combats out.

I have a Model 30 that I reamed out to .32 H&R Magnum. It has Hogue Grips on it. Prefer them to the smaller grips and no more difficult to conceal. Also use the Pachmayr grips on my S&W Ladysmith.

I won't use any J Frame grip that extends below the bottom of the grip frame. The J Frame is all about concealment and I find oversized grips unacceptable.

I agree, for pocket or ankle carry. However, for appendix carry, I find that a larger grip is more comfortable and equally (or more) concealable. It lays flat against my belly / side. Less likely to poke or print.
