Carrying in the car

Usually it rides in my center console-I can get it fairly quickly if need be. If I feel the need to go Orange, I will take it out and have it snug between the drivers seat and the center console. It has just enough tension to keep it right there and is a smooth draw. Most of my driving is highway. For informational purposes-anywhere in New Orleans is Condition Orange.

For years I have carried my "truck gun," a Charter Undercover from the early 70s, in an Uncle Mike's pocket holster velcro'd to the driver's side of my console. It sits up, never moves, and is real available if I should need it. I've never had a vehicle that this would not work in.

I add a drop of superglue to the velcro that attaches to the console as it gets so hot here in Florida that, otherwise, the velcro falls off. When I sell the vehicle, a little fingernail polish remover makes the superglue residue disappear.

I have a knife, extra ammo and a flashlight also velcro'd in the console, too. Still leaves plenty of room in the center for all the console stuff one carries there.
