CCI 22LR Stingers in M&P 22?

I want to check this before I use an incompatible round. Can I use CCI 22LR Stinger rounds in my new M&P 22? I'm not concerned about accuracy, but I don't want to damage the gun.

I've shot 100 rounds of stingers through my M&P 22 without any issues. I would say go for it.

I contacted S&W some months ago to ask about hyper velocity rounds. The answer I got was not to use them. Long term they will shorten the life of the gun, putting stress on the gun it was not designed for. CCI mini mags and the like are the top end of what is recommended. Also note, the barrel of the gun is not as heave as it looks. It has a sleeve over it. I also have a Rugar SR22 and Rugar says that occasional use of a few rnds. to help clean the barrel after dirty ammo is ok. The Rugar barrel is much heavier.
I would stay away from hyper ammo.
However Stinger is a good SD round, for a 22.
