That's pretty good for BIg 5. Around here (Washington state) they are the most overpriced ammo store. They were selling Remington Golden Box's of junk for $25 during the last "ammo scare". My gun store has the 500 pack for $17 all the time, and the 525 value pack for $16. Guess which one I buy.
The local Academy has been selling the 525 round box of Remington .22s for $16.00 for quite some time, not even a sale price. Of course, immediately Pre-Obama, the price was about $9.00.
I finally ran out of my stockpile of 22 bulk ammo last month, so I went to Big 5 and bought some Blazer. My final box of Blazer 500 pack that I went through was purchased at Joe's Sporting Goods for $8 a brick!
The best part is my wife being an employee of said "most overpriced ammo store" means I get 10% off the most recent sale price, even if it's not on sale
I do not buy anything from Big 5, They are a Ca based company and I asked the sales clerk here in Nampa,Id. why they keep selling Ca. Compliant guns since we have no restrictions here on mag capacity or flash suppressors and he said its because their corporate office is in Ca and thats what they have to buy! I also try to avoid any purchases from Ca. just not a fan of their gun policy's or liberalism, so why support them?
Steve89052, I think it is, CCI web site has several types of 22LR including the new Tactical 22LR for Semi-automatic like the M&P. At Big 5, here in Concord Calif., they sell two types, one packaged and this one loose bulk. I've tried both and both feed and function fine.
That's amazing haha. That's what CCI Mini-mags cost me for 100. The cheapest I've seen Blazer 525 go for is $14 at a local shop's sale. I bought a box of 500 from them for $15 sticker price, I don't know if that was on sale or not but good enough for me!
