Cell Phone case

Looking for a holster maker that also makes cell phone cases. I bought a new phone and of course it is bigger than the last one. I had a great cell phone case made by a good holster maker, but can't seem to get them to answer any emails or phone messages. Evidently they no longer are interested in this type of business.

I got tired of the cheap belt cases that aren't really leather and only last 3-6 months.

My old one looked like this,



This case only holds a 5" by 2 3/4" phone (Samsung S4). It was great protection, snap closure, good grade holster leather.

I'm wanting something similar.

Here in New York City there are vendors outside of each Apple Store (three of them) and along 6th Avenue. I get Leather Cell Phone Cases in 3 or 4 different sizes, faux leather with belt lopes and clip for $5.00 each. I usually buy a couple at a time. Though they won't last for ever, I get a year out of each one and every time I upgrade phones, I seem to need a bigger one anyway. No tax either ......

Try The Wilderness.com for smart phone cases. I have used them for many years and I like the ease of opening the case to withdraw and insert the phone. They have many to choose from and I have other products from them that are well made and last a long time.

Muss, I spoke with Snubby, and he's going to make me one. Had a video that showed exactly what I wanted. He's got a couple jobs in front of me, but I'm not is a great hurry.

Thanks for the tip, I had seen some of his work on the Forum, but it didn't jibe when I was thinking about cell phone cases.

Here's your solution....... About 8 months ago I ruined my iPhone 7 by leaving it on the trunk of my Wife's car - she drove away with it and about a block later it fell off - that was that! . After spending $800 bucks for a new iPhone 8, I designed a cell phone "holster" and sent the drawing to Wayne (Snubbyfan) who made it for me. He did an excellent job and I now use it every day! He also made a great suggestion about putting a cut slot on the bottom to aid in the pushing up and removal of the phone from the case. I took Wayne's advise and the results are fantastic! I highly recommend his work.

PS: I sent him my trashed iPhone 7 as a template to make the case from. Since the 7 and the 8 are identical in size, it fit perfectly. I also left the phone case I intended to use on the new iPhone on the old phone so it was an exact template. He sent my old phone back to me and so I am not sure if he made his own template - but you could certainly ask.

Yup - I get his Video's too! Wayne is (as we speak) making me a belt pouch for my Marbles USA Large Stockman Pocket Knife. I use the knife daily and could not part with it for months while the pouch was being made, so he is working off my drawings, measurements and pictures. From his videos, I should have it in the next week or so.

The cell phone holster he made from my design has worked out perfectly! Secure, durable, easy to get phone out, and when I want to listen to Pandora I put the phone in upside down which orients the speaker on top - easier to hear. No more having to leave the phone lying around when listening to music! The cell phone holster in his very recent videos was for my friend Larry - he loves his too! Mine was made about 8 months ago, but he videoed that one as well. I much prefer this custom design to the ones that they make with flaps and snaps!

I appreciate the feedback. There's lotsa of variables when I'm designing something. I try to do what makes sense and enhances usability while being asthetic. Feedback on stuff really helps.
