Hey yall,

I'm looking for some cheap but good upgrades for my M&P 15-22. Right now, I have an Eotech 522 clone and an M6X light/laser. I would like some other stuff so if you know of a place that sells them for a good price or somewhere that sells "knock-offs" that would work as long as you know that they're good quality and won't fall apart like some of the other cheap stuff I've bought. Btw, I would like to be able to find most of this stuff in Dark Earth/Tan.

1) Magpul MOE buttstock

2) Magpul MOE grip

3) Magpul flip up sight set

4) Spikes fake can CAR-1

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, please post pics of your 15-22's and maybe give me some ideas. I'll see about posting some pics of what I have so far. I spray painted the grip and the buttstock DE to see what it would look like and I also did some tacticrayola. I think it looks pretty cool right now, but I'd like some more. Anyways, thanks.

Sorry that the pics are a bit fuzzy. It looks like there's white "smudge" around where I used the crayons for the white lettering but it's not like that, it looks really clean.

Spend the money for the Magpul stuff. Go with a Gemtech can. Well worth the money.

+1 Stop buying cheap, fake, counterfiet ****. All it does is encourage these counterfiet companies to keep copying other companies products.

All this stuff I got was merely just to see if I even liked the consept of the idea. I don't rely on any of this. I just don't want to go blow a couple hundred dollars to find that I don't even like it. I've done that in the past and it really sucks. I just wanted to try it on for size and then work my way to the real stuff. Besides, I'm planning on buying an M4 style AR so I'll just transfer the accessories over and put the knock offs back on the 15-22 for small game hunting.

I understand what you're saying but remember also that the cheap knock off stuff you are buying are no where near the quality of the originals so even if you are just getting the cheapies to see if you like the idea you're not really getting the true concept. A knock off Eotech is NOWHERE near what a real one is so you might decide that the idea of a Eotech isn't for you when it might very well have been if you would have had a real one to begin with.

that's true. I went ahead and asked a friend to let me borrow some of his old magpul stuff and some back up sights. he said if I liked how they fit, I could have them. so that's sweet. I should be getting them tomorrow. besides, if they aren't exactly what I want, i'll just go ahead and spend the money for the real deal.

Could not DISAGREE more with 66% of that statement. While I do agree that you should NOT buy counterfeit (fake eotech with a eotech sticker on it) products, there is NOTHING wrong with buying inexpensive non-military grade accessories that happen to look similar to expensive name brands.

Case in point: Primary Arms makes an EXCELLENT inexpensive aimpoint style red dots. They do not claim that they are an aimpoint, nor do they claim that they will perform like an aimpoint.

You can find forend vert grips that look very similar to tango down battle grips (also not claiming to be tango) but at 1/4 the cost.

We arent using these 15-22's for home defense. We're not throwing them in our squad car for duty work, and we're not fighting for our freedom in the middle east with them. So if you dont want to spend $300 on a used eotech when you can get a new similar lower grade"knock-off" at rrages for $100, do it.

Dont feel like you shouldn't buy a product because it looks similar to a more expensive version. If you do the research, and read the reviews, and feel like its a good value for your use, buy away.

Just please, please, please dont go out and buy a $50 aimpoint clone that has a $3 aimpoint sticker on it from some scandalous retailer. That IS something to be ashamed of.

Just my $.02

So they straight up copied the EOtech right down the even putting the name on the product??

Yup, strait up counterfeit. If it claims to be a new Trijicon, Eotech, or Aimpoint, and its less than $200....Probably counterfeit. Please do not support those vendors. Those are the guys that need to be stopped.
More of my $0.02 (im running out of money giving out all this change )

I been at out door ranges and people come up to me and ask how the hell I can see the halo in the sunlight cause they can't. I simply tell them cause mine is the real deal and show them.

Granted I didn't by the $600 EOTech 553.A65 for the M&P 15-22. But then again I can't see myself spending $150 on a knock off that doesn't work for my applications and should of use the $150 on a Primary Arms Bushnell RDS which are lower price but are design for firearms. Now that's just a waste of money. But hey, to each there own. I'll buy a replica for looks, but if want something that will work, real deal is the way to go.
