Here's a trick I learned in Afghanistan. Since acquiring one SW9VE with only one mag needed more mags of course. Cutting a new notch above a plentiful Beretta M9/92 mag allows them to work without issue. Floor plate does line up however but functions 100%.

Hope this helpful.

Years ago, when S&W was pushing sales on the VE series, they offered either a $50 rebate or 3 extra mags. Nice to have extra mags for the gun for sure. I wonder if anyone regrets taking the $50 now, with the costs always rising?

Been a while since I"m out of the loop OCONUS but surplus Beretta mags were $10 ea. Once modified they can still be used in the Beretta. Beretta mags can also be cut for the SIG 226/228 as they also use the same body.

I just picked up a mint in box Sigma type sw9c 2 mags and box for 250 , I jumped on it also found a like new mag at a show on sat for 10 bucks , a shop up the road has had a big box of fact mags for this gun for years ran up and got 2 more for 40 ea , the gun has worked flawless so far , also put a front night sight on it seems good to go .,

Yes it is the same body, but a different follower.

The shelf that initiates the slide remaining open after the last round is at a different height between the two brands

I learned this back in the early 1990s when I was searching for an alternative to the $125 price tag on a Walther P88 magazine. As it turns out, the P88 uses the same magazine body.

I did that with a Beretta 92 Mag, to make it fit into a Taurus M99.
It was a perfect fit, with a flush seating.

The "rebate or mags" thing was on when I bought by Sigma 9mm new. I thought it was a no-brainer, and got the mags.

When I did that deal it was only 2 mags. I chose the mags.
