Checking the candidates on the 2nd Amendment

I received two flyers in the mail today from the two Republican candidates running in my Congressional District against the incumbent Democrat, Melissa Bean. Bean was smart last time. She was elected by handing out jelly beans at the train station and simply saying, "Please vote for me." That's all it took.

I just typed in the websites of the two Republicans and both support Concealed Carry and 2nd Amendment rights rather blatantly.

Go to the websites of your candidates and see where they stand on the issue(s) you care about.

I also checked into the several Republican candidates for Governor here in Illinois. Remember that just because they're a Republican, doesn't mean they support the 2nd Amendment.

Only one candidate for Governor, Dan Proft, is against an Illinois Assault Weapons Ban and for Concealed Carry.

Not in your state, but there's a thread on IL govs in the CCW forum if you haven't seen it.
Out here they keep voting the anti-gun Dems in cause their constituents don't want to have to deal with armed victems.

For that matter, just because they SAY they support the Second Amendment, it doesn't mean they do. Like the wannabe pols who proclaim their NRA membership, but the ink hasn't dried yet on the card.

If they have a political history, that might give some indication of their true position, especially if they were state legislators, less so if they were city or county councilpersons.

Another thing to look at is who is endorsing them. By their friends shall ye know them.
