Anyone rig their 15-22 with an adjustable cheek riser?

Care to share what you bought, how you installed it?

I thought this was going to be a thread about jeans fitment and the fairer sex........

Mostly you should not need a cheek riser for an AR-15.

The stock is correct for sights that sit about 2.5" above the bore. It is only for drop comb stocks converted to straight stocks and an optic on a rail that need the riser (like an AK with an M4 stock) as the sights do not work with the normal cheek weld.

If you need a cheek weld on an AR-15 style firearm your sights are set up incorectly. Especially if it is a flat top like the 15-22.

Probably my technique then.

I added one of these:

Amazon.com : NcStar 3-9X42 Compact-Red and Green Illuminated Mil-Dot/Green Lens/Quick Release (STM3942G) : Rifle Scopes : Sports & Outdoors@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41KeGzq-GqL.@@AMEPARAM@@41KeGzq-GqL

and it seemed just a little high. I reckon I'm just doing it wrong.

If you have the MOE buttstock on your 15-22, you can order a riser made by Magpul that snaps into the two horizontal slots on each side of the MOE buttstock. The Magpul risers come in .25", .50", or .75" rise heights. Midway stocks these Magpul risers.

Clip on cheek riser for the MOE and CTR stocks. Raises cheek weld 1/2 inch in height. This riser is for use on NON AR15/M4 applications as the riser will interfere with charging handle function. Originally designed for M14 carbine stock conversions.

Not to be used. It MAY work with the shortened pull of the 15-22, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Heh.

I found this:

M4/AR-15 Stock with Adjustable Cheek Riser, Battery Storage & Rubber Buttpad - GLR16CP

Anyone ever use that one?

Was wondering if there was something like a "cheek riser kit" that you could attach to the 15-22 stock.

I have that one on all the 15-22's bigger brothers. I swapped it out to my 15-22 for S&G's. It fit and worked very well. Looks great (all though a bit over kill :D). You DO have to be careful as the Cheek Riser is too high (flat) to charge the weapon in it's shortest positition. It works great if you have to use a riser to get your right eye relief with a larger belled scope.

I needed it (Cheek Riser),for my scopes and the larger 40 & 50 bells (long range),on my 5.56 MSR's.

When prices get to a more reasonable,I do plan on getting one for my 15-22. It's only money... :D Can't shoot, might as well dress em' up :D to look like it's brothers. :D :D :D
