I don't know how many of you are cereal folks. I am lactose intolerant, so I don't eat much cereal. The only cereal I eat is Cheerios, right out of the box, been doing so for years, just like folks eat chips. I like corn flakes the same way. I don't like sugary cereal. I went grocery shopping with the wife this weekend and saw, much to my surprise and disgust, that they are making CHOCOLATE Cheerios! How could they pervert something as wholesome and American as Cheerios? Anyway, they sure are good....

They wont tell you this, but did y'all know that Cheerios are actually "donut seeds" and if you plant them you can grow your own donuts? :D :D

I was at the grocery store Saturday and found peanut butter flavored Cheerios. Needless to say a box came home with me and it's been breakfast this week. I'm a sucker for anything with peanut butter in it!

I've been eating the plain, original Cheerios for over 45 years and love them. I'm not into the sugarized cereals on the market - I do love bananas added as a topping though.
I'll add that my Cholesterol count is good too! :)

Yeah, just give me plain ol' Cheerios. But I usually wait until blueberry season. Then it's cherrios and blueberries (and milk) every day for breakfast. Unless it's blueberry pancakes. Maybe blueberry muffins.

Except I like my bacon, eggs and fried potatos at least twice a week!

I'm making me hungry -- good thing it's lunch time!

The last time I ate cereal out of the box (sugar frosted something or other) they tasted kind of flat...and damp...then I noticed my 3 year old daughter smiling at me.

I used to work with a guy that was lactose intolerant, but he would tell people he was lactose ignorant.

They make them in other flavors, too--yogurt covered, cinnamon, etc. I've tried all the flavors because of young son and hate them all. Cheerios are just good plain with maybe a chopped banana and a hint of sweetener on top.

However, Choco Crispies are a great chocolate cereal. Great with milk, and --if you want to impress the kiddies--use them instead of regular Rice Crispies in Rice Crispie Treats [for Christmas, toss a couple of red M & M's into the mix]. Just keep a box hidden for your personal use. Yum.

I read somewhere that the orignal Cheerios and shredded wheat are among the most nutritous (sp?) cereals on the market. Fortunately, I like both.

And I like granola cereals, especially those with raisins, dates, and nuts. I also like brown sugar oatmeal, but add raisins.

Oh, I forgot about those. They are good, but watch your sugar intake.

I'm not lactose intolerant, just intolerant. But I like my cereal with no extra sugar. Cheerios, shredded wheat, stuff like that.
