The CS45D models weren't produced in as many numbers as the CS45C & CS45S models. The "C" models had carbon steel slides, and the "S" had stainless slides. The CS45 was first released with carbon steel slides (black finish), which is also when the DAO version was released, as I recall, with the stainless model following.
The early TDA models had a single side manual safety (left side) and plastic sights. Later models came with an ambi safety & the regular steel Novak Low Mount 3-dot sights. There were one or two other subsequent changes during production.
I still order my CS45 magazines from S&W (as well as the recoil & mag springs & followers).
The CS45 magazine is unique to that model.
