I bought my CS-9 back when they first came out and would like to hear from others who own this pistol and they're preferred loads for this model. Usually use the Remington 115 grain hardball for target and seems to feed well and eject. Went with this model because of concealability and like the Hogue wrap-around grip. Seems like and ideal hide away pistol to me but I believed it was discontinued due to higher cost than newer polymer models such as the M&P models. Thanks for any replies.

Never happened with out pics.

For defensive loads, I like the following for the 3" CS9:

Federal HST 147g +P (and non +P)
Federal HST 124g +P (and non +P)
Speer GDHP 124g +P
Corbon 95g TAC-XP

I like these loads because they have all performed well out of 3" barrels in online testing, and especially like the 147g HST's for the softer recoil.

Thanks for advice on defensive loads. Will definitely give em a try.

Add to the list Winchester Ranger-T, 147 gr. In the ammoquest series on utube, the standard pressure ammo actually did better than the +P ammo ( which tended to over expand and not penetrate) . Until I found some Ranger-T, I used the HST 124 gr in mine with a great deal of confidence. :)

Thanks for this suggestion also. Very informative video. So many choices out there it pays to ask for help from folks who know what performs well in their 3 inch versions such as the CS-9 series. Glad I have a piece I am satisfied with as I have had the older Model 39 and 59 in the past. Models sure have changed with the introduction of so many polymer models. Again thanks for helping a new guy with clearing up some ammo questions.
