The chin/ back of the head strap for my original 1968 Boy Scout Campaign hat broke and I am having a devil of a time location a replacement. Not even the Montana Scout Council office here in Billings was able to guide me.

Any of you former scouts Eagle eyed enough to help me on this one?

Randy
PS.
Cannot find one for military Drill Instructor Hat, State trooper hat, Park Ranger hat, etc either....the retailers will all sell me a hat with a strap on it!!
My local hattery is trying to make one,but he is having troubles with it breaking as well when it is that thin and tiny.

I hate to say this, but try e-bay. I don't have one listed but my ebay name is 3rdeagle. My son is the 4th generation eagle in my family. I have two grandsons......

I have searched eBay diligently to no avail................Good thought though!

I believe that these hats were made by Stetson. I would submit an email to them through their website to see if they can help you.

Today is The USMC birthday, so don't bother today! There is a Brigade Quartermaster Shop (a retail shop, not a Government concern) at Camp Pendleton and most every Marine base. They take Phone and On-Line orders. You have to know the correct military name for the item, so a phone call may be best to get that info.
