Dear Smith and wesson Forum i have a hypothetical question what would be a good long gun for a private detective in a wheelchair? any and all help in answering this question would be greatly appreciated sincerely and respectfully mg357 a proud member of the Smith and Wesson Forum.

How about a Beretta Storm carbine in 9mm? Very short, quality, dependable, accurate, twenty-round magazine, and above all it is light enough that it can handily be fired with one hand in a pinch. This seems to me like it might be an important factor to somebody in a wheelchair, perhaps moving and firing at the same time.

I guess it depends entirely what you wanted to do with it.

Short 'n close and I'd be thinking about compact shotgun. One with Knoxx collapsing stock would be really handy.

having spent some time in a wheelchair
using a long gun is cumbersome
if its possible to use a handgun I'd suggest that

I'm a private investigator, and although I'm not in a wheelchair I do spend very long periods of time seated in a car on surveillance assignments. I carry a handgun most of the time in my Kramer Confidant shirt holster. It is much easier to draw from while seated than a gun carried at the waist. The only limitation is the size of the gun. It works great with a Glock or my Kahr PM40 (Which I am wearing as a type this), and S&W J-frames work good too. Unfortunately it won't accept a K-frame or larger revolver.
Any handgun about this size should work, so a PI in a chair should be well armed with this setup.

FN PS90. It is light, very little recoil, can be held in one hand, with a laser just point and shoot(50 rounds} I have range tested it from a electric scooter and carry it in the basket on the front. Love it.
