Since Sheep took such a beating in that you know what thread-
Let’s have a Sheep Thread.
Out West there is a Sheep named Churro.
It’s a descendent of a Breed brought over by the Spanish.
Remember, the Originals (Indians) didn’t have any large domesticated animals.
The Churros greatest quality is - it’s a survivor!
It can survive and flourish on bad water and marginal grazing.
The Navajos and other Tribes have raised them for a long time!
Remember when I posted that the Los Ojos, NM wool and rug COOP restarted the N NM tradition of raising sheep and making rugs?
They wanted to go traditional, so that meant Churro Sheep.
Only one place to get them.
They bought their sheep from the Navajoes !
