I'm considering one of these for my 340PD. I have a desantis clip grip on it now that works well.

I'm looking at the J frame specific one that is held on with the sideplate screw. Does anyone here have one if so how well does it work? And I'm also wondering how low it sits in the waistband. Any feedback would be great thanks.

Amazon has them on sale for around $17. Lots of very positive reviews answering the questions you are wondering about. Worth reading.

I just ordered one . Free shipping on Amazon Prime. Today is Sat. It will be delivered on Mon.

How do they do that ?

I’ve been using one for years and love it. As far as OMG the trigger isn’t covered my boys are still there:)just a heads up the screw that holds the Clipraw on will loosen under recoil. Blue lock tight don’t work. Don’use the Red or you’ll never get it off if you need to. Mine is not a Clipdraw.

I misread your original post. Not the clip grip you were asking about.

Sorry.

Sliabside2 thank you for the input. I appreciate it. Also do you think purple locktight would work better?

If I were you I wouldn’t use any other color but the blue. Because if you ever have to remove the sideplate it will be a nightmare trying to get that screw out and you don’t want to break it off. The simple fixes is bring screwdriver with you to the range and tighten it up after every 10 or 12 rounds or by the one I have on my gun that uses two screws and stays in place. The lock washer it comes with won’t help.

I don't know what state you reside in but in Ohio they are against the law to use.

Random thoughts...

I don't repurpose the screws on my guns; sideplate screws are made to hold on the sideplate. The reports indicating that using them to hold a clip requires loctite are telling.

A proper holster gives you options. If you affix a clip to your gun, it will always be there, even when you don't need or want it.

Thanks guys,I'll give it some more thought. Also 7shooter I currerntly have the desantis clip grip on my 340PD. Was just wondering if the clip draw may be better.
