I have several firearms that I acquired without boxes. I store them individually in silicone treated gun socks in a safe. I want to ensure against dings. Anyone know of a source for small cardboard boxes I can store each firearm with its sock? Or other suggestions for storage? Thanks.

I buy my boxes from www.uline. But I don't like storing gun long term in cardboard or even silicone socks. I don't want anything that can trap moisture or have any sort of chemical reaction. I just give them a coating of RIG grease and store them in gun safes. You can buy acid free boxes from some museum and collector supply places, but they're generally a good bit more expensive than normal paper gun boxes.

You may want to try Bed Bath and Beyond too. They have a large assortment and the prices are not that bad.

You can get card board "evidence gun boxes" on Amazon. 25 boxes for $41.00. There for handguns.
