Colorado Shooting firearm ?

I've been keeping note of what the various talking heads on TV, etc. are calling the type of long gun used by James Holmes. 1st I heard was a full auto AR-15, then a semi-auto AR-15, then a S&W M&P and to day Obama is calling it an AK-47! Gun sales have shot way up in Denver area gun stores but the public is confused on what type to buy, before new laws make their sales illegal! My suggestion would be to buy them all, just to be sure you have covered all the bases! Ed.

And O'Reilly was also saying that someone should tell Congress to pass a law that common people can't own bazooka's and "heavy weapons"?? What the heck are these reporters talking about???

Oh yea, and the perp was supposed to be a signed up member of the Tea Party!! Well, I didn't see him at any of our meetings here and it turned out that he wasn't a member there either! What the heck are they talking about??

I think the games better get started so these stupid moronic reporters can concentrate on something else. Bunch of Morons are what they are, nothing more, nothing less. If you can't get the facts correctly, don't report it!

Where did Obama call it an AK 47?

I thought all along that the media was skating the AR manufacturer while always commenting on the Remington 870 and the Glock 40. It was only after they released the photographs that you could see it was an M&P15.

Like it was mentioned earlier give it another week or so and you could walk up to one of them reporters and ask em about the shooting and by that time they will be focused on other things.

Every time the AWB comes up he spouts-off about machineguns ...

My wife and I were at the range one afternoon and we were listening to O'Reilly on the radio talking about the " sniper " shootings in Virginia. As we later learned the shooters were using a scoped AR and were typically at ranges closer than 100 yards. He pontificated that the shooter must be a highly trained military sniper to make the shots he was making. My wife who doesn't like to shoot and seldom does asked to shoot the iron sighted AR I was sighting in to see how she would do. She fired 4 rounds at 100 yards at a USPSA target. The first round was not in the A zone but then she figured out that she had inadvertently used the left front sight protective wing as the front sight. When she switched to actually using the front sight all 3 hits were in the A zone.

I heard O'Reilly again last night . He doesn't know the first thing about firearms or firearms laws.
