I am stumped on how to remove the trigger and trigger bar from a Colt Mustang Pocket Lite.

First let me get the reason I am detail stripping this little pistol. This firearm belongs to a good friend of mine that lost it out of his holster in the brush on his Ranchito, and found it months later. The slide and barrel cleaned up well, and the alloy frame is fine.

However the springs and and internal stamped metal parts are rusted and pitted. I was able to obtain the correct internal parts very cheaply.

Now the root of my problem. I can't figure out how the plastic trigger and its attached trigger bar comes out of the receiver. I punched out the trigger pin without trouble. So the trigger and bar are loose within the frame. There is a roll pin that attaches the trigger bar to the plastic that is not accessible. The trigger bar is spring loaded.

Any suggestions from the very knowledgeable members here ?

Other than throw it in the River ?

I finally figured out the puzzle, without bending the trigger bar.

For anyone that finds this post in the future, here it how I did it.

The trigger bar is attached to the plastic trigger and spring loaded via a spring inside the trigger, it will rotate on the pin.

To remove from the frame (after the trigger pin is removed, on this pistol it was opposite to most pins, removed right to left) move the trigger as far forward in the guard as it will go, gently press down on the trigger bar through the opening in the grip frame, rotate the bottom of the trigger up as far as it will go without force, and about the fifteenth time you try it, it will release and fall into the mag well.
