Good evening guys, I found in the cellar, inside a box these vintage Colt SAA hard rubber grips, I have no experience with SAA and I don't understand if they are original and how much they are worth.
Any help is appreciated.

First thing to find out is if they are for a 1st, 2nd or 3rd generation Colt SAA. There's some sort of 1st & 3rd fit compatible, but not 2nd - not sure of the details. Those look relatively new, so would imagine 2nd or 3rd. There's then the issue of individual grip fitment on the SAA. Not quite the same as DA revolvers.

Aftermarket wood grips are generally a tad oversized. For a set already on a SAA, they may not properly fit another gun.

Just ball parking - $40.00 or so up to $65.00.

Not 3rd Generation grips IMO, as they don't have 'Colt's, Htfd, Conn' cast into the inside bottom edge of the panels.

3rd Gen grips are usually oversize ( when NIB and never fitted) however on a 1st gen gun by a portion of the outside checkering border. So they can be fitted carefully to the grip frame and still have a nice even border remaining and look nice.

1st Gen perhaps,,or maybe 2nd(?)
I don't remember if some or all of the 2nd gen HR grips had the cast in lettering in place.

A small chip out of the toe of each panels on the inside? or is that the pics..

Price diff/value betw 1st and 2nd is quite a bit

Thanks for the explanations, the chips are very light, less than a tenth of a millimeter missing, but they reflect the light of the photograph. Can you tell me approximately the values of the 1st and the 2nd gen.
