I recently had the opportunity to buy this 18-4 and couldn't resist.
As far as I know, it must have been produced between 1977 and 1982. It is used, but seems to be in really good condition. In addition to the revolver, the box and manual were also included.

In addition to the normal sticker on the box with type and serial number (handwritten), there is a sticker on the opposite side with machine written on it.
Can anyone tell me what this number means?
0184014031
The bottom line most likely stands for 22lr, Combat Masterpiece, 4 inch Barrel, Square Butt, Blue
Is that correct?

I have not been able to take the revolver to the range yet. But I plan to soon.

And because it counts for nothing without pictures, here are a few...

Just pulled the factory box for my 18-4
which is interesting to compare because it's just a little bit newer having a serial 270K816. Has TT TH
This one shipped May 1985, it does not have a barrel set pin, has the new small left side Tm and 80's era blocky wood Magnas, the box product code 100603, on the bottom line has a code very close to yours 0184014034 spec order 5123
Iirc the boxs of that era had a "Julian date code" but others will decode that.
Two other interesting things are that while yours has the older style two piece box mine has the next style 1 piece clamshell Lear Siegler box. Also has the number 670 printed top left, and hand written R 246,
Another interesting thing has a price tag of $339.95

Ps , if you'd like to see pictures of that 18-4 to compare the little differences here is a link to that thread scroll down to post #47

I was finally able to try out the 18-4 last weekend.
I shot at the 50m range (about 55 yards). First with RWS Pistol Match, but the fired cases were a bit sticky to push out of the cylinder. Not terribly bad, but...
Then I switched to CCI Standard Velocity and these cases came out much easier. So I shot the rest of the training with CCI.

The accuracy seems to be excellent, similar to when I shoot the rimfire sport pistol.
