I need some good recommendations for a conceal holster for a model 60 snubby. I'm a big man and have been told to that OWB would be best. I prefer leather. Any help would be much appreciated!!

I have a Lobo Gun Leather Enhanced Pancake for my 60-9 and I like it a lot. It is the only OWB holster I have used with my model 60 so I cannot really compare it to others but it is really nice. Holds it very secure and close to the body. I can conceal it with just a t-shirt.

I also have a Lobo Gun Leather pancake holster. This one was made for a 3" 66. I had it made with the snap loops for the belt to enable me to take it on and off without removing the belt an really like it! No more threading the belt! Quality holster made specifically for the gun it was meant to carry and very comfortable.

I post this every time I see a holster thread. Can't beat the quality and price IMO.

In order of preference I like Black Hills Leather, Kramer and Lobo. Being a big man should have no bearing, you should be able to use an IWB just fine, I do and I'm pushing......well, I can hide an N frame lets just say that:). Make sure you get a good belt (the Beltman or any other good pistol belt) it makes a huge difference.

De Santis

I sometimes carry my 642 in a De Santis Speed Scabard, rides high and tight. I believe the Speed Scabard would qualify as a pancake style. Inside the waist I go with an Alessi Deep Cover. this holster is new. I have only had it a couple of weeks but I really like it. It is comfortable and I find myself reaching for it every time I go out. I am considering Lobo Leather for a holster for a semi, that will remain unnamed, that I carry in winter. I understand they do good work. I have already been in communications with Ray. He is very quick with answers to my questions.

Holsters seem to be a **** shoot. Unless you have a buddy with the type of holster you think you might like and he lets you barrow it you really don't know how comfortable it is going to feel. I probably have more holsters than guns. Another thing, anytime I have tried to go cheap I didn't like the holster. One exception is a Don Hume JIT slide. It works well for me. Maybe holsters are like optics, get the best you can afford?

OOPS!

I guess ****shoot is a no, no. Sorry. I meant dice shoot. Doesn't sound the same does it.:)

I have a Lobo enhanced pancake for my model 60 3in. and it works great and is much more comfortable than IWB!
