Do you need a land line to use the connect to cell style phones? I ditched the land line and have cell only. Two floors here means I need to carry the cell around if I'm expecting a call and the cell is uncomfortable after 10 mins.. It looks like the home phone is linked to the cell using blue tooth. Do you have to re pair the cell to the home phone every time you take the cell out of range and return??

Any info appreciated

Most blue tooth devices should reconnect after the first time they are linked. I know my cell automatically connects to my truck every time I get in. and my cell links to my hearing aids every morning when I turn them back on.

I would suggest to keep the information to re-pare your cell phone handy 'cause sooner or later (probably much later) you will need to do it again and I can never remember the sequence required! :o

FWIW I wound up VOIP'ed. Bought Basictalk package for $10 from WM. Standard landline phone plugs into little interface gismo that in turn plugs into your router. Works good. Looks like CONUS calls only for $12.50 a month including tax.

I know, WGAS, Jim
