Greetings- So as the title says, I have a 586 (no-dash) that I would like to have converted to a pinned front sight (first owner filed the top flush with the red dot, it is fugly if nothing else). I found another thread with the photos of a gunsmith in these forums who has the equipment and knowledge to do such a thing but when emailed I've received no reply. Does anyone have a lead on a 'smith that would do such work? I have a beautiful and near mint condition 1981 vintage 6in 586 I'd like to make right, per say. Thanks for the help. Cheers.

Just an FYI... I've not found any gun smith that will do this conversion. All I've found to any work of this sort is Cylinder and Slide, and they'll cut a dovetail and install one of their own sights. It will look like the Model 629-6 PC "v-comp"... and not sure I'd want to do that to that old girl. The 585 (no dash) is otherwise in pristine condition. 20250518_131433.jpg
