I contacted them for a quote to do a 10-7 like the revolver shown. About $1400 that included changing a square butt to round butt, front and rear sight installation and all other work.
Their work is quality not sure it would make be a better shooter.

One ugly makeover!

While hard to find $1400 will get you a 3" 65 with cash left over for an action job........ and it would probably get you a 3" 66 .....

:)

YEP. UGLY..............When ya see something like this. Makes you wonder. What were they thinking?????

A tiny winged front sight would be impossible to see late or in the dark. Amazing how many guns have been ruined with grinder and a can of cerekote.

Well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder... and in how well something performs its designated mission.

Here's the pics, so you don't have to follow the link:

I may not be a fan of the finish choice on this particular gun, or the 'wings' on the front sight, but otherwise it's pretty darn close to how I would build a custom Smith snubby for a fightin' gun.

In fact, I've got a similar project in the works right now. ;)

My, that's ugly. I'm going to hide my M19.

"the DA pull runs around 10 lbs. but feels a lot less because it’s so smoo-ooth."

I have been reading this nonsense for decades now. Smooth is good but it isn't light.

Like J.H. Fitzgerald, the legendary Colt guy who created the famed Fitz Special, Tiger leaves the bobbed hammer’s single action capability in place — sub-3 lbs. — for the customer who thinks he just might one day need a crisp short pull for a precision shot. You start the trigger back until enough of the stubbed hammer has risen for the support hand thumb to catch it,

In olden times, it was usual to checker the top of the bobbed hammer for this little piece of sleight of hand. Most shops and coaches are scared of it now.

I understand why it would offend the purists but I can also sort-of see why you might possibly want such a thing. Visible sights and a better trigger are pretty much always welcome and night sights are really hard to mount on a classic revolver without looking really out-of-place. So, if you want to carry at night and have tritium sights, I can sort of see going all in on the modern look. I do have a hard time thinking protector wings on a front sight are needed though. Any chance of accidentally picking them up as the front sight would be too much risk for me and let's face it, if front sight protectors were an asset, we'd be seeing them on other products in a very crowded marketplace.

Wait....... it's a 66-4 (see pictures) why make it "baby-poo' brown?

I have the same bobbed hammer on my 1980s 3" 65
Those grips look to be grips you use to be able to get a Brownells (Precision Gun Grip's Hideout Grip) for about $20. Got a couple of sets in my "Big box-o-Grips"why 3 grip screws?
Got a XS "Big Dot" sight on my S&W 337.... good sight IMO

No issue with the fixed rear sight..... got fixed sights on my 65.

Wings on the front sight....... bet you get holster fit issues??

Thumbs up on an action job................

But $1400?????? :(

Checked out the FB page and saw some nice work, but the OP revolver is not something I would ever like to see done.

What a train wreck. For that kind of money the only acceptable finish would be hard chrome or black nitride, a paint job of any kind is a joke, but that's just me. Not sure where to start with the sights and Frankensteined top strap.
