another 7 year old thread resurrected but so be it.
Sweets is harsh, very harsh, may remove constituents from the barrel alloy. Leave it a few minutes, patch a few times, then rinse w alcohol, then Ballistol.
Hoppe's benchrest is the same but less harsh. Leave for 10 minutes, then ballistol and all good.
Best to have a bore w/o copper fouling.
