Anyone else buy one, from the first time I tried to use it and the second time it was extremely sticky. The first was a roast to be browned before put into the slow cooker, meat had to be forced off the pan on each occasion it was turned. Not suspicious after that but the next time I was trying to fry eggs there was egg stuck to the pan and ruined for eating over easy to well. The seller is asking that the entire order be returned but I haven't used any of the accessories that came with it nor did I save the original shipping box. I just want the pan replaced and they insist that I return the complete order.

Thanks for the heads up!

The commercials look good but sounds like they don't reflect reality.

No reason to switch from my old cast iron cookware.

I would keep the pan as a reminder of a lesson learned...

Reread the instructions carefully and do what it says to "cure" the pan a couple of times.Hopefully it will get better and you'll get some use out of it.

I got one, the round one. My 76 year old mother gave me and my brother one for Christmas. The curing isn't anything like cast iron. A little vegetable oil wipedown and a 300 degree oven for 20 minutes. I've done bacon, sausage, and eggs, and it works better than any nonstick pan I've ever had. Looking for the square one to buy as soon as I can.

So your saying what I saw on TV was not accurate? I thought anything on TV was true!

We bought the 12 inch fry pan, wiped some cooking oil on and 20 minutes in the oven and it's been money so far, works surprisingly well.

We bought ours at the local everything store and had confidence we could return it if it didn't work out, but it's a keeper.

Whole heartedly agree, I have an 11" and 9.5" and cooked just about everything in them and most times it just gets a wipe out with a paper towel to clean. Nothing ever sticks.
Perhaps the the OP overheated it doing that browning the first time without curing first. Also they caution against using any spray oils like Pam.

The new ceramic pans are available many places. You don't need to get the "As Seen ON TV" variety version.

Didn't need to season mine.

Best non stick pan I've ever had.

The Copper Chef pan that's on TV all the time is a total ripoff gimmick. There is nothing special about it and it's only copper painted aluminum and things will stick to it after a couple of uses. When a 30 minute TV commercial runs several times a day for months on multiple channels it's got to cost millions of dollars so they have to have a lot of profit built into each pan. When they have a free money back guarantee they don't tell you the shipping and handling they charge you might be $20 bucks or so and the pan is only worth $10 so they make money on you a second time when you send the crudy product back.

Maybe so but I think you've confused that with the internet. :D
I have a complete set of the "As Seen On TV" copper pans that are still packaged that a friend bought me a few months ago. I've yet to try them as the cast iron and ceramic that we're now using seems to be ok. I'll get around to it someday if I don't re-gift them first. :)
I will say that friends that have used the copper pans, seem to like them.

I have been tempted to buy one but I figure no way is it going to be that good that any cooked food just slivers right out of the pan.
I imagine like any non stick pan if you get it to hot it will stick and the non stick surface will be toast before long. From what some said here it sounds like the pan is just sprayed with super high temp paint like used on engines. That figures.
Those two for one deals are usually a total ripoff. The second one free just add processing, handling and shipping but when you get the bill it cost more than two individual ones would have. I stay clear of these ripoffs. Eventually WalMart often will have the TV specials on their shelves.

I accidentally ran across one of the smaller square pans at a Ross Store.
The one I see advertised for 19.99? At Ross it was 14.99.
I have used it several times for ham & eggs, french toast, etc.
The stuff slides out just like on the commercials and easily wipes
clean. Sometimes we just get lucky.

I see there are complaints about My Pillow now. I don't know what
folks are whining about. We bought a couple of them 6 or 7 years
ago and I think they work just as advertised. No complaints what
so ever.

There was a story years ago about a child psychologist evaluating two
little boys. He put one in a room with all kind of toys. Then watched.
The little boy sat there crying his eyes out.
He put the other one in a room knee high in horse manure. When he
looked in on him he was laughing, kicking the stuff around, and having
a great time.
The Doc asked why he was so happy. He said Doc, with all this horse
manure, there must be a pony somewhere.

As with the pans, I think a lot has to do with expectations, and
attitude.

The My Pillow complaints are not about quality but about advertising. They have always been sold for $20, buy one, get one free when you enter a promo code. The Better Business Bureau has decided that you are being forced to buy two $10 pillows. The theory is that if it's always buy one get one free at $20, why can't you just buy one at $10? The result is a downgrade in their BBB rating from A+ to F for false advertising, as the promo code is used for nothing more than to track which advertising venue from which you heard the offer.
