Correct Grip screw length for a 17-4

What is the correct length be of the grip panel screw be for a a 17-4 with the original slim wood grip panels? Thank you in advance.

I will try. I edited my post after i figured out that i may actually have magna grips. My problem is that the screw i have is not long enough to reach the threads of the opossing grip, which makes me the think its the wrong screw.

Do you have a dial caliper? Put the stocks on the gun and measure across the stocks at the ferrules. Then subtract 1/16 to 1/8" and that is the correct screw length for those stocks. Your local gun shop can measure this for you if you don't.

Sounds like wrong screw

It sounds like you have the wrong length screw.

Suggest you put a WTB add in classified section.

The gun would have originally shipped with the grips as shown.

I believe you are correct. Not only does it seem to be the wrong length it appears to not be correct type from the pictures of grip screws i have seen. The screw does not have a shoulder, it fully threaded. The length below the head to the tip is just under..75" and it needs to be at least 1". I appreciate the advice.
