I have a bodyguard .380 that seems to be a good carry weapon. I've heard nothing bad about the shield 9, including my concealed carry instructors, who were carrying it that day. I called the gun counter at my BX and asked if they got them back in stock (holidays cleared them out). They did and they happen to be on sale right now for $306 for the next two days. I couldn't pass it up, so I filled out the paperwork for mine and the wife is filling out hers as we speak.

Now to sell the SD9 I never shoot. Wish my CCL would come in, though. It's only been 5 days since I put it in, but still. Lets go, Illinois.

Good deal on your Shield 9. Good luck getting your CCW soon.
So glad I left Chicago 4 years ago.
Welcome to the S&W Forum from the Ozarks of Missouri.

Welcome to the forum, and congrats on your new shield. Mine is accurate and reliable, and sounds like you got a great deal on it.

Thanks everyone. I understand the waiting period, but it does put a damper on things. Already scheduled range day with a friend after I pick up. The bodyguard is a great weapon, but the shield feels like it was made for my little kid hands. That, and 9mm ammo is so much cheaper than .380 for some reason.

Fantastic price you scored. I have both the BG .380 and Shield 9. Extremely happy with both and yes 9mm ammo is cheap. I scout out Wally World for ammo have found perfecta brass cased .380 at about $12 per 50 rounds. I buy all they will allow me to, a lousy 3 boxes at a time. The same in 9mm is under $10. Compared to $18 -$22 around here for .380 from other stores. You might try target sports USA, go to the website and you may find a deal on a bulk purchase. Good luck with your shield. All I did to mine is have my gunsmith install the duty / carry trigger kit. Oh, and he polished the feed ramp. Not a hiccup from then onward. Lastly, avoid steel cased ammo. It's hard on the ejector and may cause cycling issues.

Awesome deal, cheapest I've seen in my area it is 340.00

Great price on that Shield. Plus no tax. I'm going to check our BX and see if they have the same sale.

Picking them up tomorrow heading straight to the range after. I can't wait. Got 400 rounds for the wife and me to put through them and 100 rds to put through our bodyguards. I love range day. I even love cleaning time after range day.
