I recently received back some items I sent to 44magget for my obsessive / compulsion collecting..
Curt's Artistry and skill in wood working I appreciate
greatly. i currently have 3 Pre-War N & K Frame Smiths. With that said Ive had a little luck acquiring and gathering from near and far, some original Pre-War stock sets. I sent some of this work or Curt to do his terrific restoration work, doing needed checkering and finishing work to the stock sets.
I'm glad Curt is taking in work for we members
We are blessed to have his willingness , during retirement years to help us aquirng nice wood for our collections. Ive included , in my picture, , a 1930s
interesting N Frame service stock set that has
nice and cleverly done 30's era period emblem
medallions. I will probably post another thread about the Top Left N frame set I'm mentioning this weekend. They show real skill crafting them, I believe they were done in the '30s by the worn date
marking on the emblem..
I also received back, a really nice 50's period
stock set, that I'll do a separate thread on it soon.
Here's a picture with the recently returned to me
Pre War stock sets. The 1st and 2nd columns
are N Frame Stock Sets, The Last RH column are K frame sets. Absolutely marvelous work by Curt.
Hope you enjoy the picture included My apology
for the picture's rotation. Not sure yet how to reposition the pictures just yet.
Best, Randy..
