Two days ago I attended the retirement function for a colleague. After the speeches (I gave one, having known the retiree most of his career) came the bun fight (finger food) and I found myself talking to an old shift partner of mine.

Owen was the best shift partner I have worked with in the last dozen years, and we were only broken up as a partnership when I had almost 18 months of light duties following an at work rotator cuff injury that required multiple surgeries, Paso we were talking for about 20 minutes.

Yesterday I was notified that Owen has tested positive for Covid.

I am currently on days off and semi-isolating at home and testing daily. I do not want to give Covid to Karen again, so I am staying well away from her. I have my TV, blueray player and laptop together with all the bookshelves set up in the living room. Karen and Ryan have the dining room.

My music gear is set up in a room off the living room so it is not as if I have nothing to do (I also have a music gig next weekend I have to practice some 60 off songs for :eek::eek:).

Hopefully it will be a false alarm. This time.
