If we believe Visa and Mastercard (big if, I know), it would appear that the gun control lobby tried an end around like they have in the UN more than once. One of the benefits of the republic is that the state attorneys general have the power to challenge such nonsense.

Sorry guys, I read the article but don't really believe it! I'm not so sure they won't track gun purchases anyway, just lie about it like everything else these days. I hate to sound so negative however they track everything we watch, where we go, what stores we are at and other products (non gun related) we buy. I'm not so sure…….

Good to hear that maybe some card issuers are backing away from the merchant (surveillance) code bs.
Digital currency is convenient, but it will empower surveillance like you have never seen.

They will try again or just do it behind our backs.

There's a lot of tracking that goes on to help with inventory control, assisting targeted advertising and so forth. The intent of the ISO action was obviously based upon a control scheme.
