I put about 150 rounds downrange yesterday. I work nights, and after having been up for about 30 hrs, my hand was a little shaky. It seemed to be sighted in pretty good right out of the box. To be sure, I got the owner of the range (a retired SWAT team commander of 12 years) to give it a try. We put a silhouette target up at 35 feet. He put 2 rounds through the SAME hole. Needless to say, we were impressed. That was out of the box with no adjustments. My groupings were about 4" with a shaky hand. I now know that my iron sights are off by about 1.5" high. That is not a problem since this is a house gun for self defense, and the laser would be the primary sight. Even a 1.5" variance at 30-40' would be acceptable in a home defense situation in my opinion. Holsters are not an issue with me as this is a house gun. My Sigma IWB and paddle holsters work with my daily carry piece (Glock 17) so they won't go to waste. Instant target acquisition is a must in a self defense situation, without fumbling with switches or buttons. Simply grip the pistol and laser is on. All in all I'm very pleased with this purchase: OpticsPlanet $179 w/free shipping. The only improvement I could suggest would be an ON/OFF master switch. I definitely reccommend this. Crimson Trace manufactures a quality item.
