They always give a longer estimate than the 'normal' time frame, for a couple reasons:
First, it give them wiggle room to handle unexpected complications (material shortages, illness, etc).
Second, they'd much rather give an estimate Longer than what they actually expect and have a customer that's happy to hear that it's done 'early', than give an estimated time frame and have an UNhappy customer if it takes longer than expected.
