Cruise Ships and CC ?

Won't get it on board and they don't allow it. They search you going on and go through a metal detector.
Carnival allows pocket knife to a certain length, don't know about others.
Remember, you are most often cruising to another country. Their jails suck, bad.

:( ..................................................................

Last cruise boat I was on earlier this year there was no searching of anything and no metal detectors to get on board. No signs prohibiting guns either. I guess it varies by cruise line.

All cruise lines are super tight on security. I have been on many cruises and I find what you are saying, really surprising! What cruise line was it that your referring too? You go through security when you check in and you go through security every time you board the ship.

Understood....I'll be waving bye bye from the dock.......never cared much for floating on the ocean anyway..no golf, no gun ranges, how much fun could it be anyway.

Don't do that my friend, cruises are the Bees Knees for having fun and great food! The destinations you stop at can be a lot of fun as well! Usually, everyone on a cruise, is in a good mood and partying can be great fun!

No tv. No cell phone.
Eat, drink, dance to the wee hours with my little woman. Sit on the balcony of our berth and watch the water go by. I enjoy them.
Catch a comedy show, play some games or hang out at a piano bar all night.
I could care less about any of the ports of call.

"As long as CC stands for Credit Card, you'll be fine" ??

I though the use of CC and cruise ships was abbreviation of "Constant Cash". I finally did a cruise a couple of years ago with a lady friend, been there, done that and believe any usage of CC does mean constant cash. Best advice, stay home, reload, go to range, you will have a better time, unless you do have a stream of constant cash.

I hate cruises, and am expected to go on another one next month. That being said, a cruise is the most inexpensive vacation I can think of.

Carnival kept my pocket knife last time on. No way they'd let a man with a gun on the boat.

I actually enjoyed the cruise I was on...to Alaska. I wasn't too worried about carrying a gun.....Now if'n I was cruisin around Africa or in the Med...be a different story.. Oh heck...if I was cruising there it would be on a US Navy Ship...only

Our Alaska cruise was one of the best trips we took. We had such a good time that 8 years later we drove there pulling our 5th wheel with us. I'd love to live there.

We were on a cruise about 15 years ago and I wished I had a gun.
Our luggage was slow arriving at our cabin. When it did arrive, my
wife's jewelry was missing. A Dude came to our door and identified
himself as the ship's security officer. He didn't look the part, and he
asked questions about the jewelry value, etc. I was quite uncomfortable.
He was a big guy, but I thought I could handle him with the help of
my wife. She's a scrapper. After he left I called the office. My suspicion
was correct. He was not a ship's security officer. I still don't know
exactly what he was looking for. The real security officer came and
"took a report" but that was the end of it. Our homeowner's insurance
covered the loss (reluctently).

Don't Do It.

I've been on many cruises and frankly, I would not go with any cruise line that didn't have really strict security.

There are a number of popular cruise stops in Mexico. Get caught there with either a gun or even ammunition and, rest assured, that cruise ship will be leaving without you while you learn to speak Spanish. Did I mention that Mexican jails are known to be rather violent and primitive? Did I mention that you just might have to satisfy other inmates' primal needs?

Basically the question is ....can I carry my gun in different countries?!?! NO!

I always have a great time.

That my attitude for years, I had zero desire to go on a cruise!! My wife kept hinting around about wanting to go on one and I just wouldn't bite. One day a brochure for an Alaskan cruise showed up in the mail and as I picked it up and looked through it she asked, "doesn't that look interesting?"

I said, "that don't look too bad."

Wham!!! Next thing you know we're booked on a cruise. I dreaded it, complained about getting suckered in, pouted about being gone so long from home . . . . and the Alaskan cruise was the best vacation we've ever been on. So much so that we've been back for a total of 4 Alaskan cruises since.

I still won't go on a cruise going south, though.
