I have a CS45 with Big Dog grips that I shoot well and am comfortable with. The problem is my hand size. On the small side of average, It is almost imposible for me to flick off the decocker/safety after gripping the gun. Does anyone else have this problem? I could carry with the decocker in the up position but would rather have the additional safety of it being down and disconnecting the trigger. Any suggestions.

I carry a 4516 and I do so with the decocker in the UP position. I prefer to let the long DA trigger act as my main safety.

Thanks for the info - I had the same thoughts as you - to just carry it holstered with the dewcocker up.

You have to be careful running around with your "dewcocker up" something might happen.....just a little joke. My CS45 is a single sided safety and I'm left handed so it gets carried with the safety off.

Someone, I believe Ed Brown of 1911 stuff fame, used to make an extended safety/decocking lever for the third gen semiautos. If I carried one for serious, I would put one on, but I prefer to use the decocker as a safety, too. Many don't.

Thanks for the replies. I will investigate the extended decocker. Like the humor kcode :).
